Assessments
Assessments generate discussion, understanding, and focus:
Value Stream

Based on the Material and Information Flow analysis technique developed in Japan, this assessment requires one day and a cross-functional team of 5-10 to map and analyze your core work process. A Value Stream assessment is a good way to develop a vision of a new workplace and then identify and prioritize your initial improvement activities

Workplace
This 20-minute survey is distributed to 30-50 employees to understand their current perception of the workplace and how they use data, teamwork and tools to improve it. It provides a steering committee or leadership team with a clear picture of your organization's current readiness and capability to support change.
Lean Elements
Lean production systems have many common characteristics, such as small batches, quick changeovers, standard work, and low inventories. This assessment requires about two hours and a cross-functional team of 3-6 people to assess your progress in attaining the 15 most important of these Lean characteristics. This discussion it generates also helps clarify a team's vision of how these elements might be implemented in the organization.
Work Systems
As workplaces change in an organization, entire departments and business functions often get out of alignment with each other, finding themselves with conflicting goals, performance measurements and improvement plans. This assessment requires about two hours and helps a cross-functional team of 5-10 identify where your departments and functional areas are working together and where they are not.
Culture
Based on the pioneering work of Fred Emery, this one-hour assessment helps the members of a natural work team and their manager understand eight elements of their workplace culture and points out ways to improve it.
